On 30th August 2015 at Subarna Banik Samaj Hall, Kolkata the journey began to form exclusively an organization comprising of Engineers only starting from N.S, F.J.E of S.S.M, Junior Engineers to Assistant Engineers up to Senior Engineers for various Engineering Departments like P.W.D, P&RD, W.R.I.D.D, P.H.E, I&WD etc. as well as Semi Govt & Autonomous bodies like Zilla Parisad, K.M.D.A & others etc. for upliftment of whole Engineering cadre who are engaged with various Engineering fields like construction / maintenance of various building, roads, bridges, canal, water supply, Irrigation schemes etc.

PUEA helps To organize the Engineers in employment under various department of Government of West Bengal and Govt. Undertaken or Autonomous body in the State of West Bengal to maintain a spirit of good will and brotherly relation among all the members of the Association. We also look after and safe guard general interest of all members & to work for upliftment of both economic and service condition of all members in accordance. with the social and economic development of other employees as well as common people.
